Real Estate 2.1 Dinner Attendees Make Some Interesting Predictions
On a very rainy evening at Mistrals in Redwood Shores, California, a group of us gathered for the first Real Estate 2.1 dinner – a casual event I organized for partners, fellow bloggers and other friends of the company to get together. Among other things, we discussed the real estate business, discussed emerging trends and make some interesting predictions for 2007.
The evening had its share of Freudian slips, the best was probably when Kevin Boer asked yours truly if my digital camera had “Redfin†reduction – a feature many realtors would probably pay for! Here are some of the predictions dinner guests made and their favorite movies (the trivia question for the dinner):

Someone made the crack at dinner that all this hype about blogs are just the same crowd publicly talking to one another. If you’re not, please comment! I want to prove this observation wrong!

[…] It has been a busy two weeks for Trulia, one of our good distribution network partners. Last week, Trulia moved out of Beta (Pete Flint, Trulia’s President and CEO, made the prediction at our Real Estate 2.0 dinner earlier this year) and announced two great new services: Trulia Voices - an interactive real estate question-and-answer service, and HousingWidgets - a central directory of real estate widgets. Yesterday the company announced Series C funding lead by one of Silicon Valley’s best known venture capital (VC) firms - Sequoia Capital! Congrats to Pete and the team at Trulia. […]
